Step 1: Book Flight
Plane tickets have been purchased...we will be in Colorado from Saturday (the 24th) until Wednesday (the 28th).
Step 2: Sign up for the race
We have until May 11 before the price goes up...I'd like to hold off a few more weeks to try and get a faster qualifying time so I can be in a faster wave
Step 3: Find Hotel and Rental Car
Because it beats sleeping in the streets
Step 4: Keep on Training!
Maybe this should have been step 1

Game On?
I know it's winter.
I know it kind of sucks getting into the running groove.
I know thedreadmill treadmill sucks.
But...
I know how exhilarating it feels to cross the finish line after you've spent time training.
I know that Runners High is a real thing.
I know that the mountains rock.
I know that I love traveling with my "sisters".
And I also know that shortly after crossing the finish line at the Bolder Boulder, they hand you a beer.
So what do you say, ladies? Are you are in or are you in? Yes or yes?
Should we put our money where our mouth is...and officially register for the Bolder Boulder??

Hi all!!!
Hey all. Here's my update about the plan I have to kill myself to get in shape. :)
So I'm kind of proud of myself because I have kept running during school - now we just have to see if I can make it through the first round of midterms!
It's been interesting running, and every time I go up a level I feel like I'm about to die during the last 10 or so minutes. (I'm on week four - run 2 min, walk 3) Then I do it all again two days later. Sometimes I think about running 6 miles and it seems crazy. Then I think about Allison running 20 miles and I don't feel so bad. ;)
My best run was a few weeks ago. It was in the field house and I was on my game. I stayed strong throughout my entire workout and felt great when it was over. The weather wasn't even horrible, so waiting for the bus to get me home wasn't bad.
I can't wait until Mother Nature decides to lighten up and I can run outside again. The track just doesn't work as well for me.
That's all for now. Good luck to all you ladies!!!!

Anybody Home?
Hey girlies...how's the training going?? It's been pretty quiet around here so I thought I'd check in.
What training plans are you doing?
How is running going?
Tell me about your best run so far!!
I'll start. I know it's different because I'm training for a marathon along with the BB, but I'll still play along.
I'm going to join a marathon group in February so I'm not exactly sure what plan I'm going to be using...but I need to be able to run 6 miles by February 16. I'm going to try and bust out 4 on the treadmill tonight. I'm planning on doing my first 20-miler a few weeks before the Bolder Boulder. Right now 20 miles sounds absurd. I get tired driving 20 miles.
Running is going okay so far. I thought Spring was right around the corner and then we got slapped with a cold snap. The cold makes me want to curl up on my couch with a cozy blanket and eat Tater Tot Hot Dish while sipping cocoa and watching Oprah. Not exactly on the training plan. I've started monitoring my heart rate while on the dreadmill so that gives me something to think about as I grind out the miles and it almost motivates me to get to the gym. I'll perk up when it gets warmer.
My best run this year was on January 6 - it was a beautiful afternoon and I ran outside. I thought I was going to die because I felt so out of shape, but it felt glorious to be running outside on Real Live Ground.
Now it's your turn!

Hey chicas!
So I finally joined the 'blog team' and am ready to talk (complain) about running. :) I just finished the week of one minute run, now I just have to stick with when I get back to school. Field house here I come!
I was also wondering what the exact date of the big event was? I was thinking about that the other day and I hope that I'm done with classes by that time.
